The Suzy Fund is a Registered Charity Number 283229
The Suzy Fund began in 1975. The girl in this photograph died on a rubbish dump in Ethiopia, minutes after it was taken. When the parishioners of St Peter and Paul Parish in Wakefield West Yorkshire saw this image they named the girl Suzy, and under the leadership of Brian Hazel, a parishioner, they have now raised £400,000 for third world projects. As little as 10p can give a child a hot meal, these children are lucky to have three meals in a week.

The Suzy Fund is run entirely by volunteers and overheads are kept to an absolute minimum.

A Parishioner is a member of The Healys Folk Band. Since 2001 they have raised over £16,000 to aid the feeding stations in Ethiopia by selling CDs and through various donations. If you too would like to help The Suzy Fund, please visit our donations page for futher details.
