Parkin's place for music

The Place for Music Folk club in Milngavie was founded and run by Erne Parkin (RIP 2009). For many years, he sent the proceeds from the club to the Suzy Fund, a charity which supports orphans of AIDS victims in Africa.

As a tribute to Erne, friends and fellow musicians continue to support the Suzy Fund under the general umbrella of Parkin’s Place for Music, through concerts and events in various venues in and around Milngavie. Wherever possible, we continue to foster and support local talent - which exists in abundance.
